Album of the Year Nomination #2 - Chet Faker - Built on Glass

After my first nomination all the way back in March Pharrell Williams has only continued to impress with his album selling Gold (sales in excess of 35,000 - locally) and his second single Marilyn Monroe becoming a follow up hit too.

So now it's time for nomination number two and the men are really turning it up this year. From an international release to one closer to home, Melbourne superstar and Future Classic artist Chet Faker has released a sublime album Built on Glass.

After his 2012 EP Thinking in Textures and his online cover of "No Diggity" getting him worldwide acclaim it's finally time for his debut album.

After the monster success of the split EP with Flume & "Drop the Game" was an anthem for the youth it's great to see Chet with new and amazing music.

His first single from the album feels like it came out a life time ago, Melt with Kilo Kash and now his latest 1998 is completely blowing my mind.

He also had a chart hit in Talk is Cheap and now the album has also been sitting pretty at number one nationally for two weeks, will it make a third this week? Check back at ARIA at 6:30pm tonight.

So there we have it Chet Faker the second album in the running for Album of the Year for 2014.
