Album of the Year Nomination #4 - The Weeknd - Beauty Behind the Madness

How can a 25 year old from Ontario be so god damn talented, well The Weeknd just is. His second official album following Kiss Land and the three disc opus that was Trilogy the Weeknd has given us hit, after hit after hit of this newly released full body of work.

From a hit from the Fifty Shades Soundtrack to a banging club number to the dirty and heavy bass of The Hills. This album is the shit. And I mean literally the shit, it's top notch and covers so many genres, it's described as the audio to pair with most couples sex lives and it is a totally different and unique album to join my three previous Album of the Year nods.

Of course if you are not up to date here is a recap:

1. Mark Ronson
2. Kendrick Lamar
3. Florence & the Machine

And as previously mentioned January 2016 is all about Australian Music and I will feature 10 hot local releases and on Australia reveal the best Australia Album of 2015. There have been some big ones, Hermitude, Tame Impala and still a heap of big ones to come.

Unfortunately thus far I have only seen Mark Ronson live this year playing his album of the year nominated record and frankly I can't see Kendrick and the Weeknd travelling here soon so hopefully I can catch Florence when she does four Opera Forecourt shows.

Anyway back to this magic album, from "Earned It" to "The Hills" and the Number One mega smash hit single "Can't Feel My Face" and the pure sex of "Often" this record is getting solid reviews around the Globe and also topping charts around the Globe.

"Can't Feel My Face" is easily one of the biggest songs of 2015 so it's no surprise this album is easily one of four of this years best. The Weeknd joins Florence and the Machine, Mark Ronson & Kendrick Lamar in the race for the 2015 Album of the Year.

Here are some highlights from the record:
